As a traditional electrical engineering business, Banelec approached QBD to help reposition its brand and extend its reach in the competitive online arena.

We were tasked with completely revamping its existing website better to reflect its brand, customer offering and services.

Although a successful growing business, most of its new work came from referrals and word of mouth, and it needed a new online platform to extend its reach and make more end-users aware of its services and solutions.

Its new website needed to capture the essence of its brand and tell a better story about Banelec’s industry-leading experience, expertise and reputation, the type of clients it works with and the projects it has delivered.

Banelec was also looking for ongoing support with its SEO and digital marketing to build its credibility and visibility in the search engines, extend its online reach and attract more ideal customers.

A fresh approach

The Solution

We held an in-depth discovery workshop with Banelec’s senior leadership team to gain a deeper understanding of the business and its strategic objectives for the website.

It was looking to take a more direct approach to communicate its services and solutions online, to get found for the right keywords, demonstrate its credibility and expertise and generate more sales enquiries through organic search. 

Our in-house design team developed a creative concept for the website, with an easy-to-use navigation structure, impactful visuals and strong calls to action throughout to make the site more user-friendly. Our creative content team worked with the client to develop the tone of voice, messaging and communication style for the website’s written content.

We conducted a full SEO review of the site to ensure it was optimised for the right keywords and ready for launch. We supported this with ongoing digital marketing, including ongoing SEO,  backlink building, paid ads, monthly blog content and social media, to increase website traffic, boost follower numbers and engagement and drive sales enquiries.

Since launch, the new website has helped Banelec reposition itself as a strategic electrical controls and automation partner and attract more customers.

It gives customers a better understanding of Banelec’s range of services, depth of expertise and skills, and the scope of its capacity and capabilities.

From a standing start, the new website’s domain authority score has increased to 20 in 18 months. The site now ranks for 29 organic keywords most relevant to the business, thanks to the backlink work, which has secured quality inbound backlinks from 267 referring domains. Website traffic has increased by 327% since launch. Overall, the site attracts hundreds of unique visitors each month, with most traffic coming from organic searches. 

On social media, it has seen follower growth of 22%, with engagement up by 236%.
