A one-page website that didn’t reflect the business
The Challenge
Crafted Boats approached QBD with an existing one-page website that no longer reflected the size, heritage or credibility of the business.
While the company had a strong reputation in the boating sector, its website did not give potential customers enough information about who they are, what they do or why they should be trusted. The site lacked depth, clear service information, trust points and dedicated content to support organic search visibility.
For a business with decades of experience, a broad range of specialist services and a strong family heritage, the website needed to work much harder. It had to communicate authority, showcase the company’s expertise and make it easier for customers to understand the full scope of Crafted Boats’ offering.
The client also needed a more practical digital platform. One that could support enquiries, promote different locations and enable customers to book caravan site stays online.

A dedicated About page was created to give customers a stronger understanding of the company’s background, values and long-standing reputation. We also separated the company’s key services into individual pages, helping users find relevant information more easily while creating a stronger structure for SEO.
The new website includes pages covering Crafted Boats’ specialist services, including servicing and repairs, repaints, interior work and renovations, hull blacking, welding and fabrication, chandlery, moorings, boat scrappage and disposal, day boat hire and boat sales.
To build trust, we added a dedicated testimonials page and created content that highlights key reasons to choose Crafted Boats, including generational expertise, bespoke design, comprehensive services, sustainable practices and meticulous craftsmanship.
We also developed location pages for the company’s key sites and integrated a caravan site booking system, giving the website a more functional role in supporting the wider business.
