Sign Solutions is a specialist provider of award-winning communication services that support Deaf and Hard of Hearing people across the UK.
The Birmingham-based business offers a nationwide range of services that promote accessibility, inclusion and combat inequality.Â
These include British Sign Language (BSL) interpreting and translations, video interpreting, Deaf awareness training, BSL courses, recruitment support, Access to Work advice, personal video relay service (VRS) phone bundles and general advice and guidance.
Sign Solutions aims to break down communication barriers and give everyone equal access to products, services, healthcare, education and work. They work with a variety of clients, from businesses and public sector organisations to individuals and charities, to ensure they reduce barriers and enable equality for Deaf people.

The Challenge
A mutual contact recommended us to Sign Solutions, who wanted to take the business to the next level by launching two new websites.
These were Sign Solutions’ main corporate site and InterpretersLive!, an online platform giving organisations and individuals round-the-clock access to on-demand or pre-booked BSL interpreters.
For the main site, Sign Solutions wanted an elegant and engaging brochure website to showcase its brand and service offering, with an intuitive navigation structure to quickly signpost users to relevant information, and strong calls to action throughout.
For InterpretersLive!, it was looking for a way to make it easier for businesses and Deaf users to instantly access interpreting or communications support from a UK-wide network of qualified professionals.
Once the websites launched, Sign Solutions was looking for ongoing support to create engaging new content for its blog to improve its visibility in the search engines.
Driving traffic
The Solution
We were tasked with redefining Sign Solutions’ online presence to showcase its services, encourage more bookings via InterpretersLive! and ensure both sites could be found online across multiple devices and operating platforms.
Sign Solutions’ website revamp resulted in a sleek, professional and responsive site that perfectly represents its brand. The site prioritises function over design with a logical navigation structure, intuitive user experience and clear calls to action, ensuring accessibility to a Deaf audience.
InterpretersLive!, meanwhile, includes a bespoke ecommerce booking system that enables visitors to instantly connect with a professional interpreter at any time, in just a couple of clicks. The site has since been adapted into an app for Apple, Android and Windows devices.
Both sites were fully optimised for the search engines to give maximum visibility and link to their dedicated social media channels.
We’ve supported the main Sign Solutions site with an ongoing SEO content plan since it went live. It’s based on regular keyword research to identify topics relevant to the business and its audience, along with reporting to show the impact it’s having.
Instant visibility
The Impact
Since going live, both sites have given Sign Solutions instant visibility, helping to drive enquiries and bookings for all its services.
Organic traffic to the main Sign Solutions website has increased by 261% since launch, and the number of SEO keywords it ranks for has increased by 793%.Â
The site’s domain authority has gone up by 30 points since going live, thanks to the ongoing content work we’ve done and the number of higher-authority external websites linking back to the site.
Our ongoing content has also given Sign Solutions’ marketing team a bank of engaging blogs for sharing via social media, email and other digital communications channels.
