About Rich Brown

Rich spent more than 15 years working in the charity sector before joining QBD, and that experience shapes everything he does. He’s not someone who learned about charities from the outside, he worked inside some of the most respected charitable organisations in Worcestershire, the West Midlands and beyond. His career includes organising Race for Life events for Cancer Research UK, leading fundraising strategy at KEMP Hospice in Worcestershire, and securing donations and legacy giving at Acorns Children’s Hospice, which serves children and families across the West Midlands and Worcestershire. He sat on JustGiving’s Small Charities Advisory Board, served as Vice-Chair of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising’s West Midlands group, and supported four children’s and young people’s charities as a Trustee of Childlife. Today, Rich leads lead generation strategy at QBD, helping charities and businesses across the region get more from their digital marketing. That means everything from building high-performing charity websites and driving organic traffic through SEO, to running email marketing campaigns, paid advertising and social media that actually converts. He understands what it takes to reach the right audience, build trust and turn online visitors into donors, volunteers or customers. Rich also founded The Joanna Brown Trust in memory of his sister Joanna, who passed away in August 2008. The Trust provides grants to young athletes and has supported projects around the world. His combination of sector knowledge and digital marketing expertise means he’s well placed to help charities across Worcestershire and the West Midlands build an online presence that reflects the quality of their work and supports their mission.
